Medical Radiology Technologists (X-Ray)
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist I (Medical Radiology Technologists) performs a variety of diagnostic x-ray procedures. They are responsible for producing diagnostic images, which are interpreted by physicians and used in medical diagnosis; setting up, processing x-ray images, and positioning patients using standard anatomical positioning techniques; assisting senior technologists and radiologists to perform a variety of procedures; operating and caring for the x-ray equipment and in the production of diagnostic images; recognizing, reporting equipment malfunctions and completing routine preventative maintenance; and performing other related work as required.
